The Role
- Design, train and ship deep-learning models on satellite, aerial, and street-level geospatial imagery.
- Build computer-vision pipelines for object detection, segmentation, and change detection at national scale.
- Develop and optimize inference services for production geospatial workloads.
- Curate, label, and version large geospatial training datasets.
- Collaborate with remote-sensing and GIS teams to translate mandates into model requirements.
- Benchmark, document, and continuously improve model accuracy and performance.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the GeoAI research roadmap.
What You Bring
- BSc/MSc in computer science, AI, geomatics, or a related field.
- Strong experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and modern CV architectures.
- Hands-on experience with geospatial data (rasters, vectors, GeoTIFF, COG).
- Proficiency in Python and the scientific stack (NumPy, GDAL, rasterio).
- Familiarity with MLOps, containerization, and cloud GPU training.
- Experience with remote-sensing imagery (optical, SAR, LiDAR) is a strong plus.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
